Titanic Experience Museums: Pigeon Forge, TN vs. Branson, MO?

If you set up an account, just do yourself a favour and ignore the political grandstanding that's all pervasive on social media. I try to be a popularizer of history and science by showing that both are actually pretty cool.
I went and had a look see. I see we were in the Navy at the same time. At least for a year or so. I mustered out in 1980. I don't do social media unless one counts this site as it. I don't consider sites like this social media or the few gearhead sites I sometimes go to. I'm not political outside of election day. I vote and move on. Not a crusader or revolutionary. I learned a long time ago whatever the outrage of the day is just wait a few days and it will be forgotten and the politico's will be upset about something new. But back to Titanic and Pigeon Forge. It looks like you guys have a lot of fun with it. Good for you all. One question though. Did they end up with Hartleys Violin or is it just on loan? I remember when it sold but I never heard who bought it. Either way thats a good score to have it there. Cheers.
P.S...I liked your meme album. I laughed at a lot of them. Maybe it's a Navy thing. At least the Navy from days gone bye. I probably would get booted out in a week in today's Navy from what I have seen lately. But times always change. If they can still put steel on the target I guess that's all that really matters. Cheers again.

It ultimately went back to the owners after being on display for a spell. I know the provenance was considered controversial, but it's been verified as authentic.

I pretty much stick with history and popularizing science. Politics...I don't see the point to any more of the grandstanding. I have views, the same as anybody else, but the problem with the grandstanding is that the people you want and even need to influence don't care, and the ones who care literally don't matter.

Obviously, you do have a presence so feel free to hang around. You may well like my museum albums too! I've got some for Patriot's Point and the North Carolina Battleship.

Ok. Thanks. I will check it out more. As for the violin I'm aware of the controversery surrounding it. I've read the pro's and con's. I'm convinced it's authentic. I would have liked to see it. I know others, some on this board too that don't think it genuine. That's fine. If its later discovered to be a forgery/scam/hoax it wouldn't be the first time somebody pulled off a fast one. Cheers.

What are the differences between the two?
Which would you recommend?
Having been a devoted TITANIC-ophile since the age of 8 (now 62), I'd prefer a more accurate replica experience over artifacts (many which I've seen on touring TITANIC exhibits).
I am planning a trip through the south, but would have time/$$ for only one museum.
I have only been to the Branson exhibit and I thought it was great. My ticket
represented a passenger who did not make it. But my companion represented a passenger who did make it out alive. In the past had only been to traveling Titanic exhibits. I hope to visit the one in Pigeon Forge sometime soon.
