Bookmark websites that you want to revisit in Safari on Mac

A bookmark is a link to a website that you save so you can quickly revisit it later.

Open Safari for me

Add a bookmark

  1. Go to the Safari app on your Mac.

  2. Go to the website you want to bookmark.

  3. Click the Share button in the toolbar, then choose Add Bookmark to.

    You can also choose to add the bookmark to a recently created bookmarks folder. Choose Add to [bookmarks folder].

  4. Choose where to add the bookmark, and rename it if you like.

    • Add this page to: Click the pop-up menu and choose a folder. The default is Favorites.

    • Rename the bookmark: Enter a brief name to help you identify the website.
