Garden Admissions

Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden is a registered museum and one of Vancouver’s top tourist attractions. It is a unique venue for cultural programming and events, including guided tours, concerts, festivals, exhibitions, receptions, and educational programs. First opened to the public in 1986, this Ming Dynasty-style garden-home is the first among its kind to have been built outside of China, and continues to be unique among the world as the result of the joint collaborative effort of community members, the Canadian Government, and the People’s Republic of China. As a registered not-for-profit all Garden revenue goes toward the fulfillment of our mission to bring together cultures and communities through educational and public programs. Book ticket
Discover the art of traditional Chinese tea ceremonies while sampling delicious tea. Tea drinking is an integral part of Chinese culture. Since ancient times, the simple pleasure of family and friends gathering to drink tea has been practiced promoting health and well-being. Savour the delicate fragrances, imagining yourself as an ancient scholar at leisure in their garden home! In this session, we will be trying two different types of tea to compare and contrast the aroma, taste and flavour profiles. Yoga with Matt Caza

Reconnect with yourself in a grounding 60-minute Vinyasa Yoga practice surrounded by the calming beauty of the Garden. This ancient movement practice combines fluid postures, breathing exercises, and body awareness to guide you toward a more relaxed and conscious state. Like the flow of yin and yang, both effort and ease help release tension in body and mind.

The tranquil Garden setting is the perfect complement. Step away from the outside world and turn inward in a serene, natural space.

Arrive a little early to wander the grounds and let nature set the tone for your practice. Together, we’ll move through accessible flows, balance effort with ease, and close with a peaceful meditation to reset for the week ahead.
