We’re delighted to welcome Dr Elly Hanson as CEASE’s new part-time Strategic Director. Naomi says: "Elly has been a close friend and collaborator of CEASE for many years, deeply engaged in our mission and beautifully aligned with our values. She brings a rare blend of insight, empathy and conviction- a passion grounded in experience. She has an exceptional ability to see beneath the surface and to articulate complex issues with great clarity and resonance. I couldn’t be more thrilled that she’s joining us in this new capacity." We know her leadership will enrich our work and strengthen our challenge to the commercial and cultural forces that enable exploitation in the UK. I am very excited to share that I have just started as Strategy Director at CEASE (part-time alongside my independent work) – a charity which I have worked closely with over the years and which has long been dear to my heart. CEASE is a UK-based charity taking on the commercial and cultural forces driving sexual exploitation and abuse. We live in a culture highly conducive to sexual harm. There are many vested interests, for example, huge industries that profit from it and work to blind us to its reality. To tackle these forces, we need courage, insight and wisdom – our heart, mind and soul. We need a strong and diverse collective movement; survivor voices and clear evidence guiding the way; and new conversations and clarity at every level of society. At CEASE we are ambitious for all this and more. If you’re interested, please follow our work and watch this space for opportunities to get involved! https://www.downtownmelody.com/_x/Y2Vhc2Uub3JnLnVr
