Aubrey Christina Plaza was born June 26, 1984 in Wilmington, Delaware. While in school, she participated in theatrical productions with the Wilmington Drama League and went on to study film at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, graduating in 2006.

Plaza began her career in comedy, performing with institutions including the Upright Citizens Brigade and the Laugh Factory. She transitioned to screen acting with roles in movies like *Scott Pilgrim vs. The World*, and in 2009, she landed her breakout role as the deadpan April Ludgate on the sitcom *Parks & Recreation*. Plaza starred in the show until it ended in 2015, receiving widespread acclaim for her performance.

She gained further prominence in 2016 for starring in the film *Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates* opposite Zac Efron, Anna Kendrick, and Adam Devine, and the TV show *Criminal Minds* in a recurring role. Plaza ventured into producing with the films *The Little Hours* and *Ingrid Goes West* in 2017, both of which she also starred in. Between 2020 and 2022, Plaza produced and starred in two more films, *Black Bear* and *Emily the Criminal*; in between, she starred in the holiday rom-com *Happiest Season*.

In 2022, Plaza starred as the lawyer Harper Spiller in the second season of *The White Lotus*, earning Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominations. A year later, she made her professional stage debut in *Danny and the Deep Blue Sea* off Broadway, opposite *Girls*'s [Christopher Abbott](https://www.downtownmelody.com/_x/d3d3Lm5ld3lvcmt0aGVhdHJlZ3VpZGUuY29t/stars-on-stage/christopher-abbott) as Danny.

The Lucille Lortel Theatre, located in the heart of New York City's West Village, serves as an outstanding venue for off-Broadway productions. **How to Get There:** The Lucille Lortel Theatre is conveniently located at 121 Christopher Street. It's easily accessible by subway, the nearest stop is Christopher Street on the 1 Line. Also, the A, C, E, B, D, F, and M trains stop at West 4th Street, a short walk away. There are also numerous bus lines. For those driving, there are public parking lots nearby. Please remember to check the MTA for any route changes due to maintenance or construction.

Atlantic Theater Company’s main venue is the Linda Gross Theater. The venue is a 199-seat theatre housed within the Parish House for St. Peter’s Church in the Chelsea district of Manhattan. 

The building was constructed in 1871 and has a storied history as a space for amateur performances. It also housed art exhibitions, community classes and even functioned as a practice court for the historic New York Knickerbockers baseball team. 

Atlantic permanently moved into the venue in 1991. In 2012, the company completed an $8.6 million interior renovation to modernize the space. The three-year project received $2.4 million in city funding, with the rest being supplied by Atlantic’s Board of Directors and individual and foundation donors.
