Delivering technology that elevates human potential in the commercial kitchen.

About us

At Miso Robotics, our mission is to deliver advanced technology that elevates human potential in the commercial kitchen. We are transforming the restaurant industry, and making food workers’ lives better. Born and raised in downtown Pasadena, our signature product is an AI-powered kitchen robot named Flippy which automates the dangerous and undesirable operation of a restaurant’s fry station. Flippy is powered by a sophisticated AI platform driven by our proprietary and patented technologies. Recently, Miso formed a strategic partnership with Ecolab (NYSE: ECL), a $70 billion public company which, as the global leader in sales of cleaning solutions to restaurants, truly knows how to operate at scale. Miso's new leadership team is evolving the company’s culture from early stage to growth stage with new processes and disciplines, and is supported by a board that includes the former President and CTO of OpenTable. Miso's aim is to be the leader for rapid development of reliable, industry-changing products that drive the adoption of robotics and AI in commercial kitchens and make human lives better.

  • Across industries, companies are desperate for robotic automation. Labor shortages are driving urgency, especially in the restaurant industry. And while the economics of robots have become irresistible, many restaurant customers may struggle with one surprising obstacle: financing. Traditional bank financing was built for equipment like tractors and factory machines—not leading-edge robotics systems that combine hardware and AI. In fact, McKinsey reports that 71% of executives cite capital costs as the #1 barrier to robotics adoption. So, just as our recently announced partnerships with NVIDIA, Amazon, Uber AI, Roboworx, and Motion Automation Intelligence give us an edge in innovation, manufacturing, and operations, we’re now excited to announce a critical new partnership between Miso and leading robotics equipment financier, Cardinal Robotics. This new $25 million financing facility, created exclusively for Miso customers, can help our restaurant partners speed the decision to modernize their kitchens, while allowing Miso another opportunity to accelerate our revenue growth. Cardinal specializes in innovative equipment financing structures designed specifically for robotics. This financing facility pairs Miso’s patented kitchen automation technology with Cardinal’s unique financing expertise and capital. In particular, this partnership can accelerate the nationwide deployment that’s currently underway of Miso’s famous AI-powered Flippy Fry Station robot. This is how Miso continues to widen its moat as the clear leader in restaurant robotics.

  • 🚀 Big moment for Miso! Our CEO, Rich Hull, joined Bloomberg TV to talk about how we’re working with NVIDIA to bring advanced AI into Flippy. This partnership helps Flippy see, think, and perform at new levels in the kitchen—showing what’s possible when robotics and AI come together to support restaurants. Catch the full clip here ⬇️

  • Today, Miso announced a new manufacturing partnership with the nation’s leading automation and control distributor, Motion Automation Intelligence. This collaboration significantly boosts the manufacturing capacity for our AI-powered Flippy Fry Station robots, and unlocks speed, savings, and scale as we bring Flippy to kitchens across the country. Rebecca Davis, Miso’s Vice President of Operations said, “This new partnership marks another critical step as we shift from Flippy’s research and development phases to a full-scale commercialization approach.” Davis added, “Just as NVIDIA, Uber AI, and Amazon have helped supercharge our AI and cloud infrastructure, this new U.S.-based manufacturing partner does the same for our physical production—allowing us to produce more Flippy Fry Station units faster, more cost effectively, and more predictably.” Why it matters: Scalable U.S. Production: Motion Automation Intelligence has a strong public company balance sheet and operates the proven infrastructure and facilities necessary to manufacture Flippys at scale—so we can meet increasing demand without missing a beat. Cost-Effective Without Compromise: By putting our manufacturing in the United States, we reduce shipping, customs, and ramp-up costs—all while ensuring quality and speed to deployment. Fast Ramp-Up: Our team can more easily be hands-on during onboarding of this new partner, which means fewer delays, better alignment, and faster throughput. This partnership removes a major bottleneck on our path to national scale—mitigating manufacturing risk as we grow. With a capable, cost-efficient, and domestic production partner in place, Miso becomes ready to fulfill more orders, faster. Together with Amazon, NVIDIA, and Uber AI—and now Motion Automation Intelligence as our U.S. manufacturing partner—we’re building the future of food automation right here at home.
