Qatar labels Netanyahu “saboteur-in-chief” after bombing in nation’s capital
Netanyahu’s bombing of Doha is the action of a ‘madman’ who is attacking international rules-based order, warns senior Qatari official (AFPTV)
Qatar has strongly condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of being a "narcissistic saboteur-in-chief" after Israel bombed the Qatari capital, Doha.
The Israeli air raid killed at least six people, including a Qatari security force member and five Hamas figures, who were reportedly discussing a US-proposed truce deal.
Dr Majed al-Ansari, Qatar’s foreign ministry spokesperson, stated that Qatar considers this a direct attack and a "red line" crossed, accusing Netanyahu of actively sabotaging peace talks.
International figures, including Keir Starmer and Gulf leaders, condemned the strike as a serious violation of sovereignty and international law, with Qatar exploring legal and diplomatic responses.
Qatari officials indicated that peace talks are now invalid following the attack on the mediator and negotiating team, raising concerns for the families of hostages still held in Gaza.
